Maya's background
- Maya spent years developing a program that focuses on positive reinforcement and no-fail techniques that keep you dog and family happy
- She has helped a lot of families have better relationships with their pets by successfully showing them how to engage, challenge and bond with their dogs
- She has rescued and adopted countless number of dogs over the years
Other fun facts
- Maya became an avid animal lover at a young age through her mother’s passion for pet adoption
- She worked at the Oakland Zoo, providing physical therapy for animals, preparing their food, cleaning up after them and gaining an overall understanding of animal behavior
- She also participated in several wildlife conservation programs, including one internationally
Maya went through a lot of struggles taking care of her own dog, Bailey. She wanted to give him the best life possible but, at first, she didn’t know what he needed.
After learning some basic dog training techniques and educating herself about dog behavior, she noticed a dramatic improvement in his life. He went from having extreme fear aggression toward people and other dogs to being confident, relaxed and happy.
As a result, Maya was a lot happier too.
